Lemon and bergamot give the opening a bright, sparkling freshness, while ginger and cardamom add a zesty, aromatic spice. Quince is the centrepiece: a fruit with a scent between apple and pear, honeyed and slightly floral, which gives the orchard feel of the name. The heart brings lily of the valley, fresh and dewy, jasmine, sunny and soft, and iris, cool and powdery.
