The opening is unusually rich for a first impression: caramel, peach and strawberry give a jammy, sugary fruitiness, while labdanum adds a dark, resinous warmth from the start. The heart puts rose at the centre with saffron and ginger for a warm, slightly medicinal spice, leather for depth, and amber for glow. The base of bourbon vanilla and benzoin is sweet and balsamic, a soft, long-lasting cushion under the fruit and spice.
