Tocade by Rochas, released in 1994 and composed by Maurice Roucel, is a rose and vanilla floral for women. Everyone describes it as floral, a quarter add woody, and a minority notice sweetness, musk, amber or citrus.

It opens with green notes, freesia and geranium, slightly sharp and leafy, with bergamot for brightness. The heart is a big rose, supported by jasmine, magnolia and lily of the valley, with iris adding a powdery texture and orchid a soft, slightly creamy sweetness. The base turns warm: vanilla and amber give it a sweet, rounded glow, while cedar, patchouli and musk keep it from becoming a plain vanilla and add a little dry depth.

Most wearers report moderate longevity, with a third finding it long lasting, and sillage is split between moderate and strong. Autumn and winter are the seasons it is voted for, and it leans slightly towards day. It suits someone who likes a warm, powdery rose in the nineties style, worn through a cool-weather day rather than kept for evenings.
