Charlie Black from Revlon is a sweet, dessert-like scent for women, released in 2009. Everyone who has described it calls it gourmand, about half find it musky, and a minority pick out amber and citrus.

The notes come as a single list and read like a confection. Cherry, litchi and mandarin orange give a fruity brightness at the start; almond, heliotrope and caramel form the soft, marzipan-like centre; and vanilla, coumarin, musk and amber provide a warm, powdery, slightly hay-scented finish. Heliotrope and almond together usually smell like a bakery, so expect something cosy rather than crisp.

Longevity and sillage have not been reported. A sweet almond and cherry scent of this kind sits most naturally in cooler weather and in the evening, and suits someone who enjoys an unapologetically sweet, comforting perfume. It is sold in a 30 ml size.
