The six listed notes make a compact, warm structure. Coriander opens with a green, slightly peppery spice that keeps the first minutes from being too sweet. Ylang-ylang brings a creamy, banana-tinged floral richness in the middle. The base is where the name earns itself: labdanum gives a dark, resinous, almost leathery amber, vanilla and tonka bean add sweetness and a hint of almond, and musk wraps it all in a soft, skin-like warmth.
How long it lasts and how far it carries have not yet been reported in useful numbers. Judging by the materials, this is a cold-weather, evening sort of scent, close to the skin and intimate rather than sharp or bright, for anyone drawn to vanilla and labdanum together.
