Oryx Oud, released by Oryx in 2022 and composed by Dominique Ropion, is a spicy, woody oud fragrance. Spice and woods lead equally, with sweetness and florals strong and a touch of citrus.
The listed notes suggest a warm, rich composition. Black pepper, pepper and cinnamon bring a dry, prickly and sweet spice, while bergamot adds a bright citrus lift. Rose and jasmine form a classic floral centre, and plum a dark, jammy fruitiness. Underneath, oud gives a deep, smoky woodiness, Atlas cedar and cedar a dry structure, and vanilla a creamy sweetness that softens the oud.
