Lofoten is a soft, sweet floral with a salty, marine edge and a woody base, released by the Italian house Olfattology in 2022. It is worn by anyone.

Algae, seaweed and salt open it with a cool, briny, coastal freshness, with thyme and myrtle adding a herbal, slightly resinous greenery. The heart is a gentle bouquet: lily of the valley, dewy and clean, rose, soft and slightly sweet, ylang-ylang, creamy, and orris root, cool and powdery. The base turns warm and comforting, with vanilla and tonka bean giving a smooth, almondy sweetness, sandalwood and cedar a creamy, dry woodiness, and musk a soft, skin-like finish.

It suits spring and summer and daytime wear, though the sweet base keeps it comfortable in cooler weather. Anyone who likes powdery florals with a touch of sea air should find it rewarding.
