The opening is a brief bergamot. The heart is where it becomes itself: patchouli, raspberry and honey, an earthy, dark wood against jammy fruit and sticky sweetness. The base is praline, caramel and vanilla with more patchouli, so the drydown is a thick dessert sweetness held in tension with that bitter, earthy wood. People who love it love that contrast; people who do not usually point to the same thing.
