Molinard's Fleur d'Oranger Eau de Parfum, released in 2017, is a fresh orange blossom with a green, aromatic side. Floral is the main impression for everyone who describes it, about half also notice green facets, and a minority mention wood, musk, herbs and citrus.
Bergamot and petitgrain give the opening a crisp, citrusy, slightly bitter freshness, petitgrain smelling of crushed orange leaves and twigs. Lavender and cypress add an herbal, coniferous coolness. The heart is orange blossom and neroli: orange blossom honeyed and sweet, neroli greener and more delicate, supported by jasmine and rose for a softer floral body. Fig brings a milky, green, slightly fruity note, and musk a clean, soft finish.
It is worn by anyone and suits people who love orange blossom in a fresh, Mediterranean style rather than a sweet one. The profile points to spring and summer, daytime and office wear, and relaxed occasions. Those who enjoy neroli colognes with more floral depth should find it a natural fit.
