Siwa, released by Memo Paris in 2007 and composed by Alienor Massenet, is a soft, musky floral. Musk and florals lead equally, with spice, sweetness, woods and amber at half that strength.
The opening is fresh and gently spicy: freesia gives a clean floral, cinnamon leaf a warm, clove-like spice and narcissus a honeyed, green floral. The heart is soft and powdery, with heliotrope adding an almond-like sweetness, incense a light smoke and sandalwood a creamy woodiness. The base is musk, vanilla and benzoin, a soft, sweet and resinous finish.
Many wearers find longevity weak, others moderate, and the sillage is mostly intimate. It is voted for spring and autumn and is almost entirely a daytime scent. Marketed for women, it suits office days, quiet moments and mild weather, and anyone who likes a soft, powdery musk that stays very close.
