Flam

Flam is a sweet vanilla and jasmine fragrance from Memo Paris, composed by Philippe Paparella-Paris and released in 2021. Sweetness is the impression everyone shares; most also call it floral, about half find it woody or citrusy, and a minority notice green and amber tones.

The notes are listed without stages. Bergamot and orange open with a bright citrus flash, and clary sage adds a herbal, slightly tea-like greenness. Jasmine sambac is the floral heart, heady and a little indolic, softened by other floral notes. Vanilla appears several times in the list, as absolute and as Madagascar vanilla, so expect a rich, boozy, slightly smoky vanilla rather than a thin one. Cedar and cashmeran add a dry, warm woodiness, and ambrettolide with musk and amber gives a soft, long-lasting glow.
