Black cherry opens it, dark and juicy, with plum adding a deeper, jammy fruitiness and a liquor note giving a warm, alcoholic sweetness like cherry brandy. Bitter almond adds the marzipan, cherry-stone edge that often accompanies cherry. The heart is floral and rich: Turkish rose, warm and spicy, alongside jasmine and jasmine sambac, creamy and heady. The base is woody and balsamic, with cedar and vetiver giving a dry, slightly smoky structure, patchouli an earthy depth, and tonka bean and Peru balsam a sweet, resinous, cinnamon-tinged warmth.
Dense and sweet, it is a scent for cold weather and evenings, and will appeal to anyone who likes cherry and almond with a serious floral and woody backbone.
