Italian mandarin gives the opening a sweet, bright citrus, lavender a clean herbal freshness, and saffron a warm, slightly leathery spice, so the first minutes are both fresh and warm. The heart is drier and more structured: Virginia cedar brings a pencil-like dry wood, amberwood a smooth, resinous warmth, and geranium a rosy, slightly green floral edge. The base is where it deepens, with labdanum adding a dark, balsamic amber, incense a dry, smoky, resinous note, and akigalawood a peppery, patchouli-like woodiness that lasts.
