Lahdath by Lattafa Perfumes, composed by Kevin Mathys and released in 2022, is a sweet fragrance that anyone can wear. Everyone who describes it calls it gourmand, and about half add woody, musky, floral or citrus, so the caramel is framed by cleaner, drier elements.
The notes are a short list. Lemon gives a bright, slightly sharp opening that stops the sweetness arriving all at once. Rose brings a soft, slightly jammy floral touch in the middle. Caramel is the centre of the scent, warm and buttery, with vanilla adding a smoother, creamier sweetness behind it. Cedar supplies a dry, pencil-wood edge that keeps the dessert notes in check, and musk softens the base into a clean, skin-like finish.
Reports on longevity and projection are still few. By its make-up it suits cooler weather and evenings, and someone who likes sweet, cosy scents but wants a bit of wood and citrus to keep them from becoming heavy.
