Cuir Mythique

Cuir Mythique by Korloff Paris, released in 2018, is a woody leather that anyone can wear. Everyone who has described it calls it woody, and about half also find it spicy, green, floral, leathery and citrusy, so the leather is one voice among several rather than the whole story.

The notes are given as one list. Mandarin orange and juniper open it, a sweet citrus against a cold, gin-like sharpness, with ginger adding a dry heat. Galbanum brings a bitter, snapped-stem greenness, and pine and pine tree add a resinous, forest-floor freshness. Iris gives the heart a cool, powdery, slightly suede-like softness, which flows naturally into the leather note, here smooth and dry rather than smoky or animalic.
