It opens with pink pepper, ginger and bergamot, a bright, lightly spiced start. The heart is a full bouquet: rose, jasmine and ylang-ylang for richness, geranium for a green, rosy sharpness, and heliotrope, violet and orris root for a powdery, almond-tinged softness that gives it an old-fashioned elegance. The base is deep and resinous, with opoponax, benzoin and myrrh over Tahitian vanilla, sandalwood and vetiver, and ambergris, musk and Ambroxan adding a warm, salty, skin-like glow.
