Cinnamon, plum and cognac open it, so the first stage is rich and warm, like a spiced fruit liqueur, with the plum giving a dark, jammy sweetness. The heart is iris and myrrh, which cools things down a little: iris brings a dry, powdery softness and myrrh a dusty, slightly medicinal resin. The base is sandalwood and vanilla, creamy and sweet, and this is where the scent settles for the long haul.
