Jasmin et Cigarette, by Etat Libre d'Orange and perfumer Antoine Maisondieu, was released in 2006 as a fragrance for women. Gourmand is the leading description, with about half of wearers also finding it spicy, woody, musky, floral and aromatic, which reflects how many directions the notes pull in.
The notes are listed together rather than in stages: jasmine and tobacco at the centre, with hay, apricot, cumin, cedar, tonka bean, musk and amber around them. Jasmine gives a warm, slightly heady floral; tobacco and hay add a dry, golden, sun-cured sweetness; apricot brings a soft fruit; and cumin a warm, skin-like spice. Tonka bean, amber and musk supply the sweet, comforting base the gourmand label refers to.
Most wearers find the longevity moderate and the sillage moderate, with more than a third calling it intimate. It is voted for spring and autumn and a little more for day than night, suggesting a close, slightly smoky floral for mild weather.
