Coach Platinum, released by Coach in 2018 and composed by Bruno Jovanovic, is a woody scent with a sweet, leathery base. Woody is the word everyone uses, most also call it sweet, and a third find it spicy, floral, aromatic or leathery.
Pineapple opens it with a juicy, slightly tropical sweetness, cut by juniper berries and black pepper, a gin-like coolness and a sharp, dry heat. The heart is sage and geranium over Cashmeran, a herbal, green pairing on a soft, warm, almost cashmere-like wood. The base is where it rounds off: vanilla for sweetness, leather for a smooth, dry depth and sandalwood for creaminess.
Most wearers find the longevity moderate, with a quarter calling it long lasting, and the sillage is moderate for the great majority. Autumn and spring share the top seasonal votes and it is worn as much by night as by day. That makes it a flexible choice for smart-casual occasions in mild weather, for anyone who likes fruit on top of warm woods.
