Iris Coffee by the French house Cherigan (2021) is a floral fragrance according to everyone who rates it, with about two thirds also calling it gourmand and musky. A third find it spicy or citrusy. The name describes the pairing exactly.

Iris and orris root bring a cool, powdery, slightly earthy softness, the kind that reads as refined rather than sweet. Coffee sets against it with a roasted, bitter warmth, and tonka bean smooths the two together with a vanilla-like, slightly nutty sweetness. Bergamot and cardamom give a bright, lightly spiced opening, and jasmine adds a little floral fullness to the heart. White musk and musk give the drydown a soft, clean, skin-like finish.

Iris Coffee is a shared fragrance, worn by anyone. Powdery iris and roasted coffee suit autumn and winter well, and the musky base keeps it close enough for daytime as well as evening. It should appeal to people who like iris but want more warmth than the usual cool, grey treatment.
