Muguet du Bonheur is a classic lily of the valley from Caron, composed by Michel Morsetti and released in 1952 for women. Everyone who describes it calls it floral, and only a minority add musky, woody or citrus, which is as it should be for a scent built around a single spring flower.

It opens with lily of the valley already present, brightened by bergamot, neroli and orange blossom for a clean, slightly honeyed citrus-floral lift. The heart deepens the theme: lily of the valley again, dewy and green, alongside lilac for a soft, powdery sweetness, magnolia for a creamy, lemony petal, jasmine for richness, and a tincture of rose for a gentle rosy warmth. The base of sandalwood, musk and heliotrope is soft and powdery, with a faint almond sweetness.

Wear reports are still few. By character it belongs to spring and daytime, for someone who wants a gentle, old-fashioned floral in the true French style.

Muguet du Bonheur — unisex fragrance by Caron (released 1952). Top notes: Lily-of-the-Valley, Neroli, Orange Blossom, Bergamot. Heart notes: Lily-of-the-Valley, Lilac, Magnolia, Jasmine, Tincture of Rose. Base notes: Musk, Heliotrope, Sandalwood. — Parfica open fragrance database
