Ginger and bergamot provide a short, bright, spicy lift, with plum adding a dark, ripe fruit. The body of the scent is cocoa and cacao pod, a dry, bitter chocolate rather than a sweet one, wrapped in a thick layer of resins: frankincense brings smoke, opoponax a sweet, balsamic warmth and labdanum a sticky, leathery depth. Tonka bean smooths it into sweetness, while patchouli, vetiver and clary sage keep an earthy, herbal dryness underneath.
