The start is cool and green: tarragon and mint give a crisp, slightly aniseed herbal freshness, with cardamom for warmth and grapefruit for a bitter sparkle. The heart moves to lavender and cedar, clean and dry, with nutmeg adding a soft, warm spice. The base is richer than the opening suggests: patchouli and vetiver bring earth and smoke, cinnamon and benzoin a sweet, balsamic warmth, and amber and sandalwood a smooth finish.
