Noa Noa by the Spanish house Botanicae is a citrus fragrance according to everyone who rates it, with about a third also calling it spicy, sweet, green, woody and musky. It is a bright, cologne-style scent with a creamy, tropical turn in the middle.
Lemon, orange and bergamot give a sunny, zesty opening, with petitgrain adding a green, slightly bitter orange-leaf freshness and juniper a dry, gin-like snap. Ginger brings a warm, tingling spice behind the citrus. The heart is where it departs from the usual cologne pattern: monoi oil, a coconut-infused tiare flower oil, adds a creamy, floral, sun-cream softness. The base of vanilla, vetiver and musk is gentle, the vanilla sweet, the vetiver dry and earthy, the musk soft and close to the skin.
Noa Noa is a shared fragrance, worn by anyone. Citrus and monoi make it a natural choice for summer and daytime, holidays included, and it should suit people who like fresh scents with a soft, creamy drydown.
