It is built on three notes. Ginger opens it, sharp, warm and slightly citrusy, giving it more bite than a plain sweet scent. The heart is woodsy notes, dry and clean, which take over as the ginger fades. The base is Bourbon vanilla, rich and slightly smoky rather than creamy, and it is this vanilla against the wood that people mostly smell through the day.
