The opening is a full spring bouquet: lilac, peony, rose, jasmine and gardenia together, with heliotrope adding a soft, powdery almond note. The heart is what makes it unusual, as tonka bean and cocoa bring a warm, slightly bitter chocolate sweetness beneath the flowers, and orris root adds a cool, powdery smoothness. The base of vanilla, sandalwood and patchouli is creamy and warm, with patchouli giving an earthy depth that keeps the sweetness grounded.
Longevity splits between long lasting and moderate. Sillage is moderate for about half and strong for a quarter. It is voted for spring and then autumn, and mostly for daytime, which suits a rich, powdery floral that is comfortable in company.
