It opens with rose water, pear and pink pepper against hazelnut and bitter almond, with frankincense adding a thin line of smoke, so the start is sweet, nutty and faintly marzipan-like. The heart is rose and jasmine sambac with osmanthus and saffron, a full, apricot-tinged floral with a warm, leathery spice. The base is long and layered: sandalwood and vanilla for creamy sweetness, akigalawood and cypriol for a dry, smoky woodiness, labdanum for resin, and ambrette and ambergris for a soft, salty musk.
