Luce di Rosa, a 2024 release from Acqua di Parma composed by Alexandra Carlin, is a spicy, woody rose that anyone can wear. Everyone who describes it calls it spicy, most add woody and floral, about half find it citrus, and a minority musky, so the rose here is peppery and dry rather than sweet.

The notes come as a single list. Bergamot and mandarin orange give a bright citrus opening, immediately joined by black pepper, pink pepper and cardamom for a warm, crackling spice. Bulgarian rose is the heart, rich and slightly jammy, with geranium adding a green, rosy sharpness. The base is cedar and guaiac wood for dry, smoky wood, vetiver for earthy depth, and musk for a soft finish.

Wear reports are still building. Its character suits daytime and evening alike, across most of the year, and fits someone who wants a modern rose that leans towards pepper and wood rather than powder or sugar.
