The notes are listed as one group. Oud sits at the centre, dark, smoky and slightly medicinal, with frankincense adding a cool, dry, incense-like smoke around it. Labdanum and ambergris supply the amber side, a sticky, warm, faintly animalic sweetness, and the floral and fruity notes soften the whole, which is where the sweet and floral impressions come from. Woody notes give it a dry backbone.
