Vele

Vele is a tropical, sweet floral from Tiziana Terenzi, composed by Paolo Terenzi and released in 2017 for anyone to wear. Gourmand is the accord everyone names; most also find it floral, and a minority describe it as musky, spicy, woody or ambery.

The opening is a basket of exotic fruit: passionfruit, mango and papaya give a juicy, sunny sweetness, and redcurrant adds a tart edge to keep it lively. The heart is lush, with jasmine and ylang-ylang bringing creamy, heady white-floral warmth, heliotrope a soft, almond-and-vanilla powderiness, and a touch of allspice a warm, clove-like spice. Green leaves and a hint of fir add freshness around the edges. The base is vanilla, musk and amber, smooth and sweet, which is where the gourmand impression comes from.
