Diwan Gourmand

Diwan Gourmand from The Spirit of Dubai, a 2025 release, is a rich chocolate and oud composition. Gourmand sweetness leads, with woods close behind and smaller amounts of spice, resin, amber and leather.

The list of notes is long, but the story is clear. Cacao pod, cocoa and dark chocolate give a deep, slightly bitter chocolate core, while dates and plum add a dark, sticky fruitiness. Cinnamon and pink pepper bring warmth and a little sparkle, and rose adds a soft floral thread. Underneath, oud, leather, patchouli and smoke create a darker, more resinous side, rounded by vanilla, tonka bean, benzoin and amber for a sweet, balsamic finish.

There are no wear reports yet on longevity or sillage. With chocolate, oud and smoke at its centre, it reads as a scent for cold weather and evenings, special occasions or quiet nights in. It is worn by anyone who likes dense, dessert-like fragrances with a smoky, woody edge.
