Kasar by Teo Cabanel is spicy and woody in equal measure, with musky, resinous, leather and citrus facets in support. It was released in 2016 as a masculine scent.

Citrus opens it with a short, bright lift, quickly overtaken by cinnamon, nutmeg and saffron, which bring a warm, golden and slightly sweet spice. Leather adds a smooth, supple richness. The base is dark and rich: agarwood (oud) gives a resinous, smoky woodiness, labdanum a sticky, ambery depth, patchouli an earthy backbone and cedar a dry, clean edge. Musk softens everything into a warm finish.

Rich and warming, it suits autumn and winter, for evenings, dinners and special occasions. A man who likes spicy, leathery oud fragrances with a golden saffron warmth will find it a confident, characterful choice. It has an oriental richness that feels best on cold nights, when a deep, enveloping scent makes the most sense and its spice can shine.
