Meliora, created by Nathalie Lorson for Parfums de Marly in 2013, is a gourmand floral for women; woody and musky sides are noticed by a quarter of wearers.
The opening is a basket of fruit: blackcurrant, raspberry and red berries give a tart, jammy sweetness, with orange blossom adding a sunny floral lift. The heart is a soft bouquet of rose, lily of the valley and ylang-ylang, fresh and slightly creamy. The base of vanilla, almond, musk and woody notes is where the gourmand sweetness settles, with almond bringing a marzipan softness and musk a clean, skin-like finish.
Most wearers find the longevity moderate and a quarter call it weak. Sillage is moderate for more than half and intimate for a third, so it stays fairly close. It is voted for spring and summer and strongly for daytime, suggesting a cheerful, fruity scent for warm days and casual wear.
