Belfiore

Belfiore by Omanluxury, composed by Marie Salamagne and released in 2020, is an osmanthus scent with an unusual, slightly savoury twist. Floral is the word everyone uses; about half also find it gourmand, green and leathery.

Osmanthus is the centre, a small flower that smells of apricot and suede at once, and the composition leans into both sides of it: apricot pushes the fruity, jammy sweetness, while suede brings out the soft, powdery leather. Gardenia adds a creamy, heady white-flower richness. The unexpected notes are carrot, which gives a dry, earthy, faintly rooty sweetness similar to iris, and beeswax, which adds a warm, honeyed, slightly waxy depth. Oakmoss in the base brings a damp, green, forest-floor bitterness that balances the honey and fruit.
