Ambra Nobile is one of the earliest Nobile 1942 fragrances, created by Marie Duchêne in 2000. Wood leads, and smaller groups note flowers, amber, sweetness, resin and citrus.
Bergamot gives a short, bright citrus opening, followed by orange blossom and African orange flower, which add a clean, honeyed floral glow. Immortelle brings its distinctive warm, slightly curry-like, honeyed note. The base is where the amber character settles: labdanum and French labdanum give a deep, honeyed, slightly leathery resin, tonka bean a soft, almond-like sweetness, and cedar, sandalwood, vetiver and patchouli a dry, earthy, creamy woody frame.
Ambra Nobile is shared and can be worn by anyone. Its warm amber and woods suit autumn and winter, evenings and smart occasions, and should please people who like classic, well-balanced ambers with a floral, honeyed touch rather than heavy sweetness.
