Despite the name, flowers lead. Pear gives the opening a crisp, juicy sweetness and galbanum a sharp green edge, so it starts fresh rather than heavy. The heart is Turkish rose and rose with jasmine, violet and carnation, a full, slightly powdery and gently spicy bouquet. The base is where the musk earns the title: musk and a touch of civet give it a warm, animalic depth, while sandalwood and amber add creaminess and warmth.
