Lucky Candy is a Montale gourmand from 2023, composed by Pierre Montale. Sweet is how everyone describes it, about half also find it floral, and a minority pick up musk, amber and citrus.
The opening is honey and cocoa, a thick, chocolate-and-honey sweetness given a brief citrus lift. The heart is where the candy idea takes shape: marshmallow and coconut add a fluffy, creamy sweetness, while frangipani and neroli bring white flowers that keep it from being purely confectionery. The base of vanilla, toffee and amber is soft and sugary, with the toffee adding a buttery, caramelised warmth.
Most people find the longevity moderate, with a good share calling it long lasting, and the projection moderate, sometimes strong. Unusually for a gourmand, it is voted for summer and spring and mostly for daytime. Worn by anyone, it suits people who want a sweet, floral-tinged candy scent in warm weather rather than cold.
