Cardamom, red thyme and lavender open it, aromatic herbs with a warm spice. The heart is rose over patchouli and vetiver, a floral note set against earth and smoke. The base is musk, ambergris, leather and oud, the oud bringing a deep, slightly medicinal wood and the leather a dry, animalic edge.
Performance is considerable. Long lasting is the most common report and a third of wearers say eternal; nearly half describe the projection as strong. Winter and autumn lead the season votes, and it is worn more at night than by day. It suits cold evenings and anyone who likes oud and leather with a herbal opening.
