Citrus Noir by Molinard (2019) is woody, amber and citrus in equal measure, with about half of those who describe it also noting spice, flowers and resin.

The top is bright and unusual: bergamot, calamansi and citron give a sharp, tangy citrus, pepper a dry spark, elemi a fresh, peppery resin and calamus a green, slightly spicy root. The heart brings jasmine, soft and luminous, cypress, green and resinous, and amyl salicylate, a sweet, slightly sunscreen-like floral note. The base is dark and dry, with incense for a soft smoke, vetiver for an earthy, smoky root and amber for a warm glow.

Citrus Noir is shared and can be worn by anyone. As the name suggests, it is a darker take on citrus, suiting autumn and spring, the office and evenings, and should appeal to people who like citrus with smoky, resinous depth.

Citrus Noir — unisex fragrance by Molinard (released 2019). Top notes: Citron, Calamansi, Bergamot, Pepper, elemi, Calamus. Heart notes: Cypress, Amyl Salicylate, Jasmine. Base notes: Vetiver, Incense, Amber. — Parfica open fragrance database
