Vetiver Sensuel from Mancera, released in 2020 and composed by Pierre Montale, is a bright citrus scent that dries down to earthy vetiver. Everyone describes it as citrusy, most also find it woody, and a minority notice spicy, musky, floral and aromatic touches.
The opening is a generous pile of citrus, lime, lemon, bergamot and orange, with pepper adding a dry, tingling bite. The heart is unexpected: mint keeps it cool, orchid adds a faint creamy floral sweetness, and patchouli begins to pull it towards the earth. The base is vetiver, grassy, smoky and slightly bitter, supported by oakmoss for damp greenness, amber for warmth, and white musk for a clean finish.
It is worn by anyone. Wearers are fairly evenly split between long lasting and moderate, and projection is mostly moderate. Summer and spring lead the votes and it is mainly a daytime scent. It suits someone who likes a fresh citrus opening but wants something with more character and dryness in the finish than a simple cologne.
