Nebula Nectar from Maison de l'Avenir is a woody amber worn by anyone, released in 2024. Everyone who has described it calls it woody, most find it ambery, about half floral, and a minority pick out aromatic, leathery and citrus facets.
The notes are listed together and are numerous. Lemon, pink pepper, thyme and lavender give a fresh, herbal, slightly peppery start; jasmine and geranium form a soft floral middle; and the base is where the weight sits, with Australian sandalwood, cashmeran, amber, vanilla, myrrh and leather, together with patchouli and balsamic notes. Myrrh brings a dry, slightly bitter resinous warmth, cashmeran a soft musky wood, and leather a hint of smoke.
How long it lasts and how far it projects have not been reported. A resinous, leathery amber of this kind is most at home in autumn and winter and in the evening, and suits someone who likes warm, complex scents with a herbal opening. It is sold in a 100 ml bottle.
