Sceptre Amazonite by Maison Alhambra is a spicy, woody scent that anyone can wear. Everyone describes it as spicy, around two thirds also call it woody and musky, and a third pick up resin and amber.
The spices lead: cinnamon and nutmeg give a warm, dry heat and saffron a slightly medicinal, leathery edge. Frankincense runs through the middle, bringing a smoky, church-like resin that keeps the spice from turning sweet. The wood is agarwood, or oud, which here reads as dark, dry and a little animalic, with cypriol adding an earthy, smoky echo of it. Musk and black musk close it, a deep, slightly powdery base that rounds the sharper notes off.
There are no community reports yet on longevity or projection. Oud, incense and warm spice of this kind sit most naturally in autumn and winter, and in the evening, and suit someone comfortable with a dark, traditional Middle Eastern style.
