Cretus, a shared fragrance from LPDO released in 2020, is a fruity scent with a mossy, smoky base. Everyone who describes it calls it gourmand, and about a quarter each add woody, floral, amber, leather and citrus.

Pineapple, apple and blackcurrant open it, juicy and sweet with a tart edge, and bergamot gives a bright citrus lift. The heart is more unusual: birch brings a smoky, tar-like note that reads as leather, juniper berries add a crisp, gin-like freshness, jasmine a soft floral warmth, and patchouli an earthy depth. The base is a classic chypre-style structure, with oakmoss adding a dry, bitter forest-floor quality, ambergris a salty, musky warmth, and vanilla and musk a sweet, smooth finish.

Fruity on top and dark underneath, it suits cooler weather and evenings, and works for anyone who likes pineapple-led fragrances with a smoky, mossy character.
