Orange and neroli give the opening a bright, slightly honeyed citrus-and-blossom freshness, and pepper and saffron add two kinds of spice, one sharp and dry, one leathery and faintly bitter. Seaweed is the unusual note here, bringing a salty, marine, green accent that stops the composition from feeling purely warm. White flowers soften the heart. Then the base takes over: vanilla and tonka bean for a smooth, sweet warmth, vetiver and precious woods for smoky dryness and depth, and musk and amber for a lasting, skin-like glow.
With that much wood, spice and vanilla, it reads as an autumn and winter scent for evenings, suited to someone who likes a dark, warm fragrance with a few surprising edges.
