La Nuit des Fleurs, released by Laurent Mazzone Parfums in 2023, is woody and floral in equal measure: everyone who describes it uses both words, about three quarters also find it citrusy, and a quarter add sweetness, musk and amber. It is worn by anyone.

Grapefruit, lemon and bergamot give a bright, slightly bitter opening, with pink pepper adding a rosy sparkle and black currant a tart edge. The heart is jasmine sambac, orange blossom, freesia and cyclamen, a white bouquet that is green and dewy rather than heavy. The base is dry and smooth: sandalwood for cream, papyrus for a dry, slightly smoky woodiness, cashmeran for a soft musky warmth, with ambergris, patchouli and musk rounding the finish.

This is a floral for warm evenings and late spring, suited to anyone who likes jasmine with a woody rather than sweet finish.
