Teriaq, composed by Quentin Bisch for Lattafa Perfumes in 2024, is a gourmand worn by anyone, with a floral side noticed by about a third and spicy, musky, resinous and leather touches by a few. It is sweet, but with enough bitterness and leather to keep it from being simple.
The opening is a rich mix: apricot and caramel give a jammy, sticky sweetness, bitter almond a dry, marzipan edge and pink pepper a faint rosy warmth. The heart turns floral and tart, with rose and white flowers wrapped in honey and rhubarb cutting through with a sour, green bite. The base is darker than the top suggests: vanilla keeps the sweetness going, labdanum adds a resinous, slightly leathery depth, leather itself brings a smooth animalic note, vetiver a dry smokiness and musk a soft finish.
Most wearers report it as long lasting and sillage is moderate for just over half, strong for more than a third. It is voted for winter and autumn and slightly more for evenings, suiting cold weather and anyone who likes a gourmand with some edge.
