Ajwaa is a resinous scent with a clear citrus opening and a warm amber finish. Lattafa Perfumes released it in 2023.
It starts with an unusual pairing: lemon and bergamot for brightness, elemi for a peppery, slightly piny resin, and dates for a dark, sticky sweetness. The heart moves to licorice and myrrh, which together give a bitter-sweet, balsamic middle that is more medicinal than dessert-like. The base is incense and benzoin, so the drydown is smoky and resinous with a vanilla-like softness from the benzoin.
It is a shared scent and worn by anyone. No community reports have been gathered yet on longevity, sillage or season, but incense and myrrh compositions of this type generally sit best in cooler months and in the evening, and suit people who enjoy church-like resins with a sweet edge rather than clean or fresh styles.
