Le Male Elixir is the 2023 elixir concentration of Jean Paul Gaultier's fragrance for men, composed by Quentin Bisch. Wearers describe it as gourmand and aromatic in equal measure, with a resinous side for about a third.

Lavender and mint open it, cool, herbal and clean, a nod to the aromatic line it belongs to. The heart turns sweet quickly: vanilla brings a creamy warmth and benzoin a balsamic, slightly smoky resin. The base is where it becomes a true gourmand: honey adds a thick, golden sweetness, tonka bean a warm almond-hay note, and tobacco a dry, dark edge that keeps the honey from becoming sickly.

Most wearers call it long lasting, and a quarter say it seems to last indefinitely. Sillage is strong for two thirds of them. It is voted for winter and autumn and clearly for night, so it suits cold evenings and occasions where a sweet, noticeable trail is welcome rather than daytime wear in warm weather.
