One Man Show is a 1980 men's fragrance from Jacques Bogart, composed by Roger Pellegrino, and it belongs to the big, woody style of its era. Wood is noticed by everyone, most wearers also find it floral, and about half describe it as spicy and sweet; a minority pick out green or leathery sides.
The opening is herbal and green: basil, artemisia and caraway with bergamot and galbanum, a sharp green resin. The heart is dense, pairing rose, jasmine, carnation and geranium with pine needles, nutmeg, patchouli and labdanum, so it is floral but dry and spicy rather than pretty. The base is a long list of warm materials, oakmoss, sandalwood, cedar, leather, amber, tonka bean and vanilla, with a touch of coconut and animalic castoreum.
Most people find it long lasting, and more than half report strong sillage, so a little goes a long way. It is voted for autumn and winter and more often for daytime.
