Sandalwood runs through every stage, creamy, smooth and slightly milky, so the scent is less a pyramid than a study of one wood. Cardamom opens alongside it with a cool, aromatic spice. The heart adds violet and orris root, which bring a soft, cool, powdery, slightly cosmetic elegance that makes the wood feel refined rather than raw. The base deepens with cashmere wood, soft and warm, vanilla for a gentle sweetness, and frankincense for a dry, resinous, church-like smoke.
It suits autumn and spring and works well for daytime or evening. Anyone who likes creamy sandalwood with iris and a touch of incense should find it a comfortable, understated choice.
